My goal as a photographer is to make you feel like you’re just hanging out with an old friend (me, hi!) who is off to the side taking a mix of posed and candid photos of you and your no. 1 while you’re enjoying each other’s company. My mission is not to raise the stakes and make you feel like you need to have just walked off the cover of Vogue, nor is it my mission to give you the cookie-cutter experience and images.
My mission is to create photos that bring out the authentic emotions and natural banter you have and share with your person. I also want to make you feel like the beautiful person you are and that your partner reminds you you are, both when you’re in front of the camera and when you’re looking back at your photos for decades to come.

I’m Gretchen, the friend who takes photos.
I have over 12 years of experience photographing people, love and moments-turned-memories.
I believe that photographs can do more than speak a thousand words. Each person and couple who takes a turn in front of my camera has a unique, beautiful, timeless story to tell. Being able to bring out not only outer beauty, but inner beauty, authentic personalities and banter, and deep, effortless love is peak satisfaction for me as an artist.
I love this job of mine, and I do not take the honor and responsibility that it is lightly. When you book me, you can be assured that I will operate before, during and after the wedding with your best interests at heart. My number one goal is always to both create a space that allows you two (and your community - your loved ones & guests) to be your best, most comfortable selves and to also depict your wedding day through your final photo gallery in the most authentic way as you remember it unfolding. Way back when I was in high school, I was known as, "the friend who takes photos," and it’s something I carry with me today in my wedding photography business.
